Susan Barry had been cross-eyed and stereoblind since early infancy - that is until she underwent specialized vision therapy and at the age of 48 she gained stereoscopic vision. After half a century of perceiving her surroundings as flat and compressed, she now experienced the deliriously novel sense of immersion in a three dimensional world. “Fixing My Gaze” describes her remarkable journey and celebrates the joyous pleasure of our senses. The book is available now from many good book retailers. |
